hours”

and guides the discussion"

Schedule
| Initial Consultation |
Determining the objective of the problem took longer than
expected: the major part of this session involved the unloading
of the many current issues of the 2 members of staff who were to
be involved in the initial stages. Eventually the decision itself was
identified as "Whether or not to involve the sandwich provider
in the centre's cafe strategy, and if so, how to go about it. |
| Between sessions |
Gravitas made a first attempt in identifying options and
ways to distinguish between them as a starting point for the
next session. |
| Second
Consultation |
The software was introduced and explained; the information
regarding the SDC problem was teased out and a first draft of their views
was completed. |
| Third Session |
The previous sessions involved just 2 of the staff of the
SDC, this time there would be 8. As there were new members of
the group, unfamiliar with the software model, the issues and way
the decision had been built were described in detail, providing
further discussion. In fact a major influential distinguishing
criterion was identified during the course of the session which
had been previously overlooked.
During the afternoon, each group member was able to contribute
to the discussion with their opinions while Gravitas documented
any important points, so that they could come back at a later
stage if required, and see how had they had made their choices.
Finally, the model revealed a leading option which they would
take away and work with. Everyone felt their views had been
listened to and were happy to take the result forward. |
| Finally |
Gravitas provided a report of the decision model and
analysis with
documentation of reasons behind their final choice. |
Results
Results have great visual impact: showing the leading option.
Robustness Analysis shows the most influential aspects of the results, for verification.
